Intel Computer

How much advantage for a laptop is the Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 versus the Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2330 ?

I am trying to decide whether I should pay the extra for the Core 2 Duo but I am unsure of the actual difference in performance since the comparison sites I can find don't compare these two processors, Intel's site compares some models but only those much more widely different. Both processors are dual core.

  1. well the c2d has a bigger l2 cache which will speed things up a little bit
  2. Dual Core line of processors were rebuilt from the ground up with the idea of less heat and less power to run them. So not only are they are a newer chip (so they process information better then older chips), but they use less power, which makes them not run as hot. Plus when you are running two cores you want the less amount of heat as possible. Get Dual Core! It well help with longer battery life, more efecent processor then the older Pentium (that have been around for a while). I'm actually kind of surprised that they have a dual Core Pentium for a Laptop? The Pentium Dual cores run way two hot!
